Laura Dalton Landscapes Wins Two Awards for the Edles Residence in Costa Mesa

Laura Dalton took home two awards during the 2009 California Landscape Contractors' Association Orange County Chapter Awards ceremony, presented August 1, 2009.

In January 2009, the Edles family wanted to remove the grass in their front yard and replace it with a water-wise landscape. We created and installed a small patio area with a recirculating fountain, a drip irrigation system, and a variety of agaves, succulents and grasses to achieve a colorful and textured garden.

According to the Edles's, they have received many positive comments from their neighbors and they don't miss their old grass at all (see below).  Now they spend time in the front yard enjoying the colorful landscape and watching birds drink from the fountain.

This landscape won the following awards:

Outstanding Achievement in Single Family Residential Water Conservation
Landscape.

Outstanding Achievement in Landscape Beautification for a Residential project not exceeding $50,000.
